Your Whirlpool Home Devices to be ruled by Google Assistant: the kitchen emphasized.

Whirlpool is adding Google Home support to over 29 large machines in 2017. You won’t be limited to Alexa only when it comes to controlling your whirlpool appliances with voice commands. Over 20 Jenn-Air and Whirlpool appliances are to be included with the upcoming 2017 launch.

this is how awesome your kitchen can also be.

Google’s Home is a rival to Alexa from Amazon. Google Home listens and responds to commands and questions through a Wi-Fi connection. It’s no different from the same AI that stays inside your Android Phones and Watches.

Though the voice control tech of Google came before Amazon introduced its own, the Alexa, Google Home’s speakers were brought two years later after Amazon had already launched its first-gen Amazon Echo. That’s why Google seems to be lagging behind when it comes to third-party smart home device integrations. But Google is trying to catch up anytime soon.

Added to the brand of products from Whirlpool, the bigger Whirlpool Corporation looks over Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Jenn-Air, and Hotpoint.  Though Whirlpool is among the first in the appliance producers to give support for the Google Home speaker, there hasn’t been plans following through to incorporate Alexa skills to appliances.

If the Whirlpool support for Google Home integrations come to fruition, you will be able to make use of the Google Assistant control almost all of your home appliances from microwaves to ovens to dishwashers and fridges.  For now, however, laundry appliances are said not to be included, and Whirlpool has not even given the actual date of the introduction of this integration.

As and when the integration materializes, readers will be informed accordingly. But for now, let’s keep our fingers crossed and see what happens.
