Apple’s Keynote is on 12th September 2017: What to expect

The invitations are being launched for Apple’s next keynote, which will be held on September 12, 2017 in a brand new conference room, the Steve Jobs Theater. Will the highly anticipated iPhone 8 be unveiled? What would Apple be announcing? Let’s see what might be on display.

A tribute to Steve Jobs

For its next keynote, to be held on September 12, 2017, Apple will inaugurate the Steve Jobs Theater, a 1,000-seat conference room located at Apple Park, the new Apple campus. The occasion is to pay tribute to the founder of the apple brand, while the iPhone celebrates its 10th anniversary.

As the tradition holds, during the tech giant’s September Keynote, Apple is expected to present information on either the new iPhone or updates on existing iPhones. One expects to discover updates on the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7 Plus. It is, however, not known if Apple will present its next high-end smartphone, the iPhone 8 or if an event will be exclusively dedicated to that.

The iPhone 8 has been the subject of many rumors in recent weeks. According to the New York Times, it will come at $ 999 in the US market. It was also predicted that the device would have an edgeless display, OLED technology, a facial recognition device and wireless recharging. But we will have to wait for the announcements of Apple to have our hearts cleared.

Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac: what to expect

The Apple keynote will also be the opportunity to unveil the third generation of the Apple Watch, which should integrate a 4G antenna and become independent of the iPhone. We should also discover the new version of Apple TV.

Release dates for iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS operating system updates will also be announced. Finally, even if it is less likely because a conference will be dedicated to them, Apple could take advantage to reveal more about its future professional Mac and its connected speaker, the HomePod.
